NEWS:
Dec. 22, 2023 New York City — the UN Security Council passed a resolution for "urgent and extended humanitarian pauses and corridors throughout the Gaza Strip for a sufficient number of days to enable full, rapid, safe, and unhindered humanitarian access."

Pope Francis’ statement about the church

“On Dec 18, 2023, Pope Francis in a pronounced statement, publicly decried Israel for the deaths of unarmed civilians during a contentious incident at the Holy Family parish complex in Gaza. The Pope’s comments accentuate the Vatican’s apprehension over the protection of human lives and sacred places amidst ongoing conflict. His use of the term ‘terrorism’ to describe the actions perpetrated against civilians within a church compound is notably significant, indicating a firm stance on the sanctity of life and religious sites.

Unarmed Civilian Victims

The victims, two Christian women, were reportedly targeted by an Israeli sniper while making their way to the bathroom. The Convent of the Missionaries of Charity nearby was also struck by a rocket launched from an IDF tank. The Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem claimed the attack was executed without warning, with the victims being shot in cold blood within the parish premises.” — BNN
